Description

Massage therapy treatments are customized to meet your specific needs based on the consultation at the start of your treatment. Your massage therapist will tailor the pressure, techniques, and areas treated to your specific requirements. Regular massage treatments will help ease tension, reduce chronic musclular pain, align muscles, decrease recovery time and enhance althletic performance. Ashiatsu is a recognized massage modality by the massage associations. Ashiatsu is covered by most insurance providers. Please check with your provider before booking your treatment if you intend to use insurance. Ashiatsu - In this form of barefoot massage therapy, the practitioner stands on the table and uses parallel bars mounted above the table for balance and stability while using one or two feet to perform the massage strokes. Similar to Swedish Massage, this type of barefoot massage uses lubricated effleurage and petrissage strokes which are compressive, broad, consistent and flowing; giving the sensation of being massaged by very large hands. Tissues are left feeling invigorated, yet deeply relaxed. Massage to fine muscles such as the neck is performed with the hands. Treatment techniques like releasing pec minor or psoas release are also completed with the use of the therapists skilled hands.
